Introducing the ERC-7540 RWA Token Standard

Today we’re publishing ERC-7540 for community review — a token standard built from the ground up for real world assets on EVM-compatible chains.

ERC-7540 extends the familiar ERC-20 interface with three key primitives: transfer compliance hooks, off-chain asset metadata anchoring via content-addressed storage, and permissioned yield distribution.
